Frequently Asked Questions
What are the benefits?
The benefits include fuel cost savings, reductions in harmful emissions and increased mid-range torque. The use of a substitute fuel has also been shown to reduce engine wear.
What is the cost saving?
This is sensitive to a number of factors including how the vehicle is driven, the average level of gas substitution and the price differential between diesel and LPG. Fuel cost savings up to 15% are readily achievable.
How mucg gas substitution is there?
The overall level of gas substitution varies with vehicle type and operating cycle. As a guide, up to 30% average gas substitution is readily achieved.
How is the Diesel On Gas system different from others?
Unlike fumigation or venturi systems the Diesel On Gas system uses a patented Gas Mixer to meter and mix the gas. The mixer allows for higher levels of gas substitution than other systems.
How will the system affect my vehicle warranty?

Can the vehicle be operated if I run out of gas or if there is a fault with the system?
Yes, provided there is no damage to the high pressure gas system, the fuel substitution system can simply be switched off and the vehicle operated on diesel only.
What is involved in doing the modification?
No significant engine modifications are required however a reliable installation requires planning and preparation.
The fitment process is normally carried out in three stages;
Assessment: the vehicle is inspected and any unique components required are identified.
Installation: the components are fitted to the vehicle.
Programming and Testing: the ECU is programmed and the vehicle/engine is tested to ensure the equipment is operating correctly.

What are the performance benefits?
When running on a combination of Diesel and LPG or CNG the engine will generally produce more mid-range torque and power. The addition of the LPG or CNG fuel generally results in reduced greenhouse gas emissions and reduced NOx emissions.
Can the system be fitted to any vehicle or engine?
The system is primarily designed for fitment to turbo-charged diesel engines. It can successfully be fitted to non turbo-charged stationary engines such as generators where the load cycle is reasonably consistent. The system works best with common rail injection systems but is suitable for indirect injection systems. Click here to find out more about your application.
